The Dayton Region is incredibly strong, and it is continually getting stronger every year! There are a lot of positive things happening throughout the Region and we want to do all in our power to make our Region even stronger.
In our view, the only major influence that hurts the Dayton Region is the City of Dayton. The city's performance hurts the region in some ways that are obvious and in some ways that are not so obvious. The City of Dayton is a big city. Therefore some good news will always be present. However, in our view, the overall condition of the city as a whole continues to deteriorate, and at an alarming rate. With a successful city, hype can be a good thing! With a stagnant and decaying city, hype tends to be more destructive because it lulls residents into thinking their city is really going to be OK, and so they do not need to advocate for change. Statistically, the City of Dayton is in the top 5 worst performing cities in the United Sates! We have plenty of written documentation that will be shared on this website to back up this claim!
